I received a message from my dealer a few days ago that my car is on its way from South Africa (where it has been produced) to Europe.
According to the dealer, the car is still at customs (where it is already for a few weeks now). The dealer predicts delivery in November.

I have just been informed that the production of my Ford Ranger will start “in the next few months” and that delivery will take place “by the end of the year”. So, a significant delay.

No further news. Ford now promises to deliver the car by the end of the year.

Initial delivery period of 7 months
Pickup2025 had opted for the Ford Ranger on 26/02/2025. When purchasing, he was initially given a delivery date of 26/09/2025, equating to a seven months delivery period.
A delivery delayed by 4 months
In Pickup2025's case, his Ford Ranger was delivered with a slight four months delay, on 09/02/2026. Although rare, this delay remained within a reasonable timeframe. Ford still managed well.
In fact, Pickup2025 waited 11 months
Pickup2025 ordered their Ford Ranger in Italia on 26/02/2025. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 26/09/2025, which was an initial delivery time of 7 months. In the end, Pickup2025 took possession of the vehicle on 09/02/2026, which resulted in a waiting time of 11 months.
