Nov. 8/23 Dealer is waiting for Hyundai to allocate the vehicle with the VIN number to them.
(very weird vehicle distribution system)
Received a call from the dealer informing me that Hyundai has allocated a vehicle that matches my spec with the exception of the colour. The incoming vehicle is Titan Grey which is fine by me. The vehicle is expected in January. He will forward the VIN to me once they receive it.
Further on the dealer vehicle allocation system, I have been informed by Hyundai that Ontario dealers outside major population centres such as the GTHA, KW, London, Windsor and Ottawa are the only dealers with ordering rights.
All small market dealers receive their vehicles by allocation only.
So, if you plan on buying/leasing a new Hyundai ask your local dealer if they have ordering rights or not.
Mine does not.

Initial delivery period of 2 months
Sportscar had chosen the Hyundai Tucson, a highly sought-after model, on 24/08/2023. At the time of purchase, he was given a delivery date of 31/10/2023. This represented an initial delivery period of two months, a duration quite typical for such a vehicle 👍
A delivery perfectly on time !
This timeframe could raise questions among future buyers about Hyundai's delivery schedule management, especially for a model as popular as the Tucson. Fortunately, Sportscar's experience can provide reassurance on this point. Hyundai handled it well 👍
In fact, Sportscar waited 4 months
Sportscar ordered their Hyundai Tucson in Canada 
on 24/08/2023. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 31/10/2023, which was an initial delivery time of 2 months. In the end, Sportscar took possession of the vehicle on 29/12/2023, which resulted in a waiting time of 4 months.
