Mobility car with hoist adaption. Originally ordered March 2025 with car dealer 44kw battery in design trim.
Mobility order with multiple problems
Was only allowed to choose a WAV/ medium SUV and EV vehicles due to requiring a scooter hoist to be fitted with a motobility grant to pay for the adaption only. As the car was available with no deposit I had to pay for the GS version £399 self funded. I have spinal stenosis so wanted the extra heated seat package to help on colder days where cold really effects pain and movement ability.

16/06/2025 :
No build dates for any frontera previously ordered. Unsure of progress or delivery dates. Would give no time frame, simply said I will update you when I have more information. Waited 12 weeks so far and this was my first contact for an update.
04/08/2025 :
Screwed up my order, said changes to design meant i would get a white roof and wheels, dod not like at all, they also didnt add my adaptions so had wait 5 months from march to just have to start from scratch. Not happy but now I can add the gs and have the 54kw battery instead of 44 which increases miles to 305 which is more ideal as a family of 5. No specific date in November but giving them til the end.

Confirmed date by dealer today is November/December time.

Dealership states order should be here by October. Hoist for scooter will then take a few days to fit

Also mobility scheme do not offer 54kw battery with linger range miles so have to have the 44kw one with 150-186 miles. Again not happy but my only option as a mobility scheme user.
12/10/2025 :
Hoist cant be fitted to the 44kw model so that order scrapped and started again for the 54kw model which has now become available. January time now apparently
09/01/2026 :
Car arrived in the country. Awaiting the hoist fitting
18/01/2026 :
Arrived in the country. Would have it by now if I didnt need a mobility hoist designed and fitted to the car
01/02/2026 :
Car collected 26/2/26 for hoist fitting. Was given 7 days for the job to be possibly be completed and then to be returned to dealer for sign off. Excited now as I know it wont be long.

Expected delivery period of 4 months

A delivery delayed by 6 months

Bootylish ordered their Opel Frontera in United Kingdom on 04/03/2025. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 30/06/2025, which was an initial delivery time of 4 months. In the end, Bootylish took possession of the vehicle on 09/01/2026, which resulted in a waiting time of 10 months.
