Driving is very fluid and lively with good road feel.
Comfortable front seats with perfect support.
Numerous reflections on the transparent plastic steering wheel controls.
Mastering the programmable functions requires a little learning time even for those accustomed to the genre.
The charging planner offers terminals clearly indicating the occupancy but does not offer less busy alternatives even if the autonomy allows the stage to be extended.
Using the account linked to the “BMW charging” card provided is very practical, as is the “Plug & Charge” function.
Very reasonable average consumption, given the size, of 17.7 kWh including a Paris-Costa Brava route via “La Méridienne” (1050km at ~19.6 kWh, at maximum regulatory speeds, 30degC, no wind).
Rolling and wind noise too present from 105km/h, and firm suspension which alters comfort on roads with degraded surfaces, like those ever more numerous in our beautiful country.
Annoying finishing details: absence of door seals protecting the lower part of the door sills, poorly located and cheap rear seat tilt control straps, inaccessible lower central console storage compartment, trunk floor in a single part which can only be opened with the trunk empty, too much hard plastic on the door panels,
Air suspension is seriously lacking in this model, including as an option.
Apparently BMW has made choices aimed at optimizing weight and costs.
Very regrettable savings at this level of range and price.
The new models from Mercedes and Volvo, to speak only of Europeans (!), will drive the point home.

Initial delivery period of 5 months
Pissy had chosen the BMW iX3, a highly sought-after model, on 14/02/2026. At the time of purchase, he was given a delivery date of 31/07/2026. This represented an initial delivery period of five months, a duration quite typical for such a vehicle 👍
A delivery perfectly on time !
This timeframe could raise questions among future buyers about BMW's delivery schedule management, especially for a model as popular as the iX3. Fortunately, Pissy's experience can provide reassurance on this point. BMW handled it well 👍
