Details from Damoclesse :
Delivery of the vehicle scheduled for 12/12/22 (maximum 12/31/22), after visiting the dealership in January 2023, return email: "Following your visit, I have just received feedback from the logistics department. No precise date to communicate to you, but an estimated arrival for the end of May."
That's 5 months of delay announced, without any assurance that the vehicle will arrive on the said date...
Update: After yet another request, July 11, 2023 is mentioned. Great kia I will lose €1000 bonus for delivery after June 30, 2023... And no compensation from them... Lamentable.

When Damoclesse ordered his Kia EV6 on 31/03/2022, he was filled with excitement and anticipation 😉 The initially announced delivery date of 31/12/2022, a standard nine months delivery period, seemed reasonable for such a sought-after model.
A delivery delayed by 6 months
For Damoclesse, the delivery of his Kia EV6 was postponed by more than six months. Such delays, though quite unusual, can be attributed to various factors beyond the manufacturer's direct control (supply chain issues with components, global logistical challenges...).
In fact, Damoclesse waited 15 months
Damoclesse ordered their Kia EV6 in France on 31/03/2022. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 31/12/2022, which was an initial delivery time of 9 months. In the end, Damoclesse took possession of the vehicle on 13/07/2023, which resulted in a waiting time of 15 months.
