I added myself to the list the first week of January. It should be noted that I am exchanging a Ford F150 in excellent condition and with a low mileage.
Towards the end of January, my dealer called me to offer me a vehicle. Everything is good except the color: White (with the roads and winter in Quebec it is synonymous with dirty...). I refuse.
Last week he contacted me again to tell me that he had a vehicle exactly like the one ordered in January.
We are currently in discussions.
So if all goes well, 2 months of waiting, far from the expected 2 years.
So my observation. Do dealers follow the listings religiously?
Probably not! If you have a tempting vehicle in exchange it will go faster. If you order a basic model (little profit) and pay cash (no extra commission to the seller)... you're going to wait.

Initial delivery period of 17 months
Patb had chosen the Kia EV6, a highly sought-after model, on 04/01/2024. At the time of purchase, he was given a delivery date of 08/06/2025. This represented an initial delivery period of seventeen months, a duration quite typical for such a vehicle 👍
Delivery 14 months ahead of schedule !
This timeframe could raise questions among future buyers about Kia's delivery schedule management, especially for a model as popular as the EV6. Fortunately, Patb's experience can provide reassurance on this point. Kia handled it well 👍

Patb ordered their Kia EV6 in Canada on 04/01/2024. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 08/06/2025, which was an initial delivery time of 17 months. In the end, Patb took possession of the vehicle on 19/04/2024, which resulted in a waiting time of 3 months.
