After much negotiation with senior management who wanted to go down the full battery EV route, I managed to convince them that a PHEV was best suited to my field engineering role. I travel many miles and have quick turn arounds so PHEV's are the way forward whilst battery technology develops and the public charging network spreads a little and hopefully gets a lot cheaper!
I have now taken delivery of my Tayron eHybrid. It's a company car so I'll pay a reduced BIK for a little while as my old vehicle was a dirty diesel.

Dealer has given me a new build week, w/c 23rd February, but this is still unconfirmed by VW. Expected delivery date would potentially be at the end of April, therefore a 7 month lead time from date of order.
24/02/2026 :
Dealer has confirmed vehicle is currently being assembled. Expected delivery to me in 6-8 weeks

Initial delivery period of 7 months
