PatAviation's Toyota RAV4

A quick recap of our adventure at Toyota. “Love at first sight” for the RAV4 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) when going to Toyota in Ploërmel, we placed an order for the Collection 2023 model with the Comfort pack option in mid-December 2022. Expected delivery time a year later, therefore mid-December 2023 but perhaps 15 days to a month before this date if all goes well. Progress of our order (My Toyota) and with an email from Toyota France to FINALLY tell us: order planned for 09/29/2023! Next email: In production 05/10/2023. Next email: Production completed 10/14/2023 and the last email: Only one more step before delivery on 11/10/2023. With the My Toyota application which allows us to roughly follow the stages, on 11/20/2023 our RAV4 arrived in France at the Valenciennes HUB. Looking at the dates here is his journey: 9 ½ months before the start of manufacturing, 14 days of production, 28 days of transport from Japan to Spain, 10 days from Spain to the HUB in Valenciennes and here we are on 01/23/2024 and he is still in Valenciennes, that is to date, a little over two months!!!!!!!! And this day, 01/23/2024 I just learned that it is still in production but in Valenciennes for the finishing touches and that there is a problem, there is no saddler for the vehicle seats (Leather upholstery option)!!!!! We went to our agent in Ploërmel on Friday 12/01 who said that it would arrive, that it was on the truck and I promise you it will be next week at the earliest, and at the latest in 3 to 4 weeks!!!! So and following the price change on the Toyota France website, we renegotiated the price with a new commercial discount to arrive at the same price. Which means that the dates have changed on the new order form with delivery scheduled for 01/15/2024 or a deadline by which delivery can take place: 02/15/2024!! So, to date we have warned the salesperson that if our vehicle is not delivered by this date, we will cancel the sale!! And of course, no news from the dealer, if we don't go fishing for information we have no communication from our garage or Toyota France with information or even a little message of apology for such a big delay!!! Well super good news and I'm going through a few other adventures but I don't have our vehicle which is still at the HUB in Valenciennes!! It's another vehicle, same color, same option which was to be delivered to Cherbourg, surely a withdrawal!!!! So we are going to see it today (04/08/2024) and delivery is scheduled for Friday 04/12/2024!!!!!! Finally !!!!!!
