TheTaig's Volkswagen Taigo

The vehicle I originally ordered (in February 2022) was not delivered on time (October/November 2022) and I have had no information on the continuation of the procedure. Following a long wait without clear information, I asked for a vehicle similar to the one I originally ordered. After looking in their vehicle fleet, there was another Taigo which was being delivered (December 2022) the differences were the engine, the color and one less option (that of car parking). This also took a while and was delivered in January 2023. In the end I waited almost a year to receive my vehicle which is also not exactly the one I originally ordered. That said, I'm going with a taigo going from 110 to 150hp, ash gray color instead of silver reflection, R line pack as expected, minus Park assist option. Due to the engine I had to put a little more into my wallet than the 110hp version. I was able to have 3 first rentals offered but these were not a commercial gesture but were simply attached to the offer with this vehicle.
Today 04/15/23, 6000km on the clock, vehicle which runs well, which has a beautiful interior and pleases both the public and its driver. Be careful, it consumes quickly and quite a bit depending on your driving even if it switches to 2 cylinders when you take your foot off and there is start & stop. Consumption therefore can be very high (be careful with the price of gasoline today) and at high speed the wind resistance makes quite a bit of noise (I'm talking about the moment when you push the baby a little well beyond 130km/h which is the maximum on our highways). Otherwise in town you would think it was a hybrid or even an electric as the engine is silent at low revs and the driving is very smooth. Vehicle that holds the road at good speed in curves (don't be scared, it's not a sports car or made for the track but the Taigo does a sufficient job for what is asked of it).
Lane assist to deactivate (avoids crossing the lines without a flasher. Can be used but when the lane markings are poorly defined or erased or difficult to see this aid exerts great resistance on the steering wheel to stay where the road seems straight and sometimes it is wrong. On the motorway it is not at all great if you forget it you can be surprised.) The turning radius seems a little short to me at times but nothing bad you turn without problem everywhere and pass easily in narrow passages, just in certain places for a half turn almost on the spot, I would have liked a steering angle at the wheels perhaps a little greater by just a few degrees but that's subjective.
Here I am talking to you about the delivery but also the feeling after 2 full months with this vehicle without it being complete either but what I considered important to convey. No anomalies noted or encountered during these first 6000 km. I really like it and will be happy to keep it as long as possible to personalize it later. It's not the prettiest, or the fastest, or even the cheapest, but it's the one I chose a year ago and as my first personal vehicle, it has some value in my eyes.
