Some good, and some not so good...
After 2 and a half months of use, here is my first feedback on this vehicle.
I drive between 100 and 110 km per day to and from work. I don't have the option to recharge on site. Despite the cold (-4 to +3° depending on the day), I often manage to make the return trip entirely electric (country mix, motorway 110 km away and city). From time to time, the thermal is triggered 5 km before the arrival and again, the 2 systems operate alternately over these last km. The announced electric autonomy is therefore there.
The comfort suits me (I'm used to VW comfort which some people find hard). We have already made journeys of 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes with 5 adults and the central rear seat is less uncomfortable than in other vehicles. The controlled suspension is efficient (speed bumps are felt much less) and the Matrix LED is really killer. The heated seats are very responsive, the steering wheel much less so. The massaging seats are, for me, a gadget, but it is included in the RLine Exclusive finish.
In terms of fuel consumption, I did my second fill-up at 3700 km. The first having been done upon receipt of the vehicle. Please note, this was only possible because I have never done more than 200 km in 1 day so far and I recharge every day at home. On this 200 km journey, I consumed on average 5l/100 km
Annoying point (but unfortunately it is European regulations which require this), we are forced to deactivate numerous alerts each time we start.
We sometimes get lost in the numerous menus and some could have been grouped together.
Very negative point: I had to call assistance twice, in 1 month, because my 12V battery was discharged in the morning, and I do not have a booster. Yesterday, VW informed me that they had found the source of the problem and that a solution would be in the works.
In fact, when you start charging more than 6 hours after stopping the vehicle, the computers mix up the circuits and discharge the 12V battery (not the 48V). Result, in the morning, you have nothing left (no ceiling light, screens, etc.). Starting with cables or booster required. Both times, I plugged in my car on Sunday morning after a short outing and didn't touch it all day. However, my charge only starts at 11:15 p.m. to benefit from the night rate, i.e. 12:00 after the last use. To overcome this, you would have to restart the vehicle after 5:15 p.m., or charge it immediately upon arrival.
I use the conditional because the information dates from yesterday and I have not been able to test the veracity of the information.
Despite everything, for the moment I am happy with my vehicle which is perfectly suited to my use.

A delivery perfectly on time !
This timeframe could raise questions among future buyers about Volkswagen's delivery schedule management, especially for a model as popular as the Tiguan. Fortunately, Eric_38's experience can provide reassurance on this point. Volkswagen handled it well 👍
