Details from GT911 :
Ordered extended range model - order placed and accepted. Then advised Volvo website was incorrect (now corrected) and the extended range was no longer available in selected trim level - currently dealing with Volvo France compensation.
Eventually an extended range XC40 was found by Volvo France. Not identical specification to that originally ordered but an acceptable specification nevertheless. Thank you to Volvo Sweden and Volvo France for their intervention.

Initial delivery period of 5 months
GT911 had opted for the Volvo XC40 Recharge on 15/09/2023. When purchasing, he was initially given a delivery date of 15/02/2024, equating to a five months delivery period.
A delivery delayed by 1 month
In GT911's case, his Volvo XC40 Recharge was delivered with a slight one month delay, on 11/03/2024. Although rare, this delay remained within a reasonable timeframe. Volvo still managed well.
In fact, GT911 waited 6 months
GT911 ordered their Volvo XC40 Recharge in France on 15/09/2023. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 15/02/2024, which was an initial delivery time of 5 months. In the end, GT911 took possession of the vehicle on 11/03/2024, which resulted in a waiting time of 6 months.
