Expected delivery period of 6 months
When Göran ordered his Hyundai Ioniq 5 on 21/03/2022, he was filled with excitement and anticipation 😉 The initially announced delivery date of 01/10/2022, a standard six months delivery period, seemed reasonable for such a sought-after model.
A delivery delayed by 10 months
For Göran, the delivery of his Hyundai Ioniq 5 was postponed by more than nine months. Such delays, though quite unusual, can be attributed to various factors beyond the manufacturer's direct control (supply chain issues with components, global logistical challenges...).
In fact, Göran waited 16 months
Göran ordered their Hyundai Ioniq 5 in Sweden on 21/03/2022. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 01/10/2022, which was an initial delivery time of 6 months. In the end, Göran took possession of the vehicle on 14/07/2023, which resulted in a waiting time of 16 months.
