Track my order

My R5 has been at the manufacturing stage for several weeks with an initial deadline of mid-August which has now moved to mid-September. Could someone tell me a little more about the deadlines and the different stages? Thanks in advance

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 08/07 à 07:41

Hard to say. The transition to manufacturing does not mean that the car is already on the assembly line. The flexibility date can give clues (see post a little further down).

Marco (⏳ 2 mois) le 08/07 à 07:48

I didn't understand how to see the flexibility date. I don't understand where to paste the link?

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 08/07 à 08:24

On the Renault.fr website, you connect to your account, then you go to "my orders", and once on the file of your vehicle being manufactured, you paste the link https://myr.renault.fr/agg/v2/account/...rand=renault then search for "flexibility" on the page. It is on the 3rd that the date appears

Thank you Ivri, I will try this evening when I get home

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 08/07 à 10:27

Hello Marco,
As Ivri indicated, it is difficult to know the real deadlines. The “flexibility date” can indeed give an indication. Note that according to the testimonies of other people on this site, once the manufacturing stage was validated and the shipping stage was displayed on the My Renault application, people received their R5 in approximately 15 days.
Dealer tracking software allows you to obtain the estimated date of manufacturing, shipping and delivery to the dealership. The final delivery date which is displayed for us on My Renault is also available there.
Finally, given the date of your order, your R5 will have Chinese cells for its battery, which can already limit successive postponements following supply concerns for this component for French cells.

Marco (⏳ 2 mois) le 08/07 à 12:28

Thank you T3no for your feedback. I will check after work to find out the flexibility date and I will keep you informed

I admit I no longer really know what we should think of this date. Mine was postponed 15 days after the first. Logically, the fact that it has been around for so long is a good sign of memory.

Hello Ivri,
Logically, yes, this is very good news for your R5. Axl_vlln had received this request the day before the end of manufacturing of his vehicle.

Indeed, like Axl_vlln, my Renault 5 was declared manufactured the day after the request for activation of internet services. On the other hand, delivery date shifted strangely... We'll see over the next few days, in my opinion it may change.

Hello Ivri,
Yes, all that remains is shipping to the logistics center, delivery to the dealership and preparation of your vehicle. So it's on track for you and you should receive it soon. 👌

Known reasons for delays

Hello everyone,
Quite a few future Renault 5 owners are experiencing delays in the delivery of their vehicle.
One of the reasons that often comes up concerns vehicles equipped with European batteries. But what about the others?
If you have any information from your dealer, don't hesitate to share it! Thank you 🙂

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 03/07 à 18:37
0

Hello Ivri,
On June 2, I received the following information from the sales representative: “We received a note indicating that there are constraints on the Iconic in addition to the batteries. » Information which doesn't say much, but which I would not have had without having contacted him...
I therefore assume that there are supply tensions for at least one of the following equipment:
• front radar + camera + computer (for Active Driver Assist)
• LED lighting (for 4-zone ambient lighting and front and rear touchscreen LED interior lighting), which would still surprise me
• side radars + computer (for front, rear and side parking aids, hands-free parking and blind spot warning)
• seats (for electric lumbar adjustment, heated front seats and bio-sourced textile)
• the steering wheel (for the heated steering wheel)
• the Power to Object adapter (V2L bidirectional charging)
Equipment also present on the Roland Garros versions which also seem to be quite impacted by the delays.
Afterwards, these are only suppositions, not having clear and official information.

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 04/07 à 11:27
0

Regarding the delays of the Iconic, could it be linked to the upholstery? Or certain specific “stickers”? For the moment, I avoid contacting my dealer because my car has no announced delay (even if the flexibility date has changed). But if the delivery date is postponed, I will go to the news.

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 04/07 à 13:35
0

Hello Ivri,
Indeed, it could be linked to the recycled upholstery which is different and a bit more “sophisticated” than the Five and Techno finishes. For the "stickers", this still seems improbable to me, I dare to imagine that they receive them by pallet. 😅
For my part, I will contact the dealership on Monday to find out if the new deadline will be respected and to find out more about these delays, having very little, if any, information.

gui2007 (⏳ 3 mois) le 04/07 à 15:15
0

Hello, looking on Facebook groups, there are people who ordered an iconic model in May (and therefore Chinese battery) and they have already received it, I believe that it is really the French battery which is blocking

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 07/07 à 20:51
0

So R3no, have you heard from your Renault 5?

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 07/07 à 23:17
0

Hello Ivri,
I was able to check with the salesperson who responded very quickly and sent me a screenshot of the information they have on their tracking software. My R5 is therefore unfortunately well postponed with production going into production on 07/21/2026, transport on 07/28/2026, arrival at the dealership between 08/03 and 08/13/2026 and thus final delivery between 08/17 and 08/30/2026 (date displayed on My Renault). Unfortunately, the dealership has exactly the same information as us. The only explanation given by Renault being the following: demand too high vs production capacity.
So we will be patient and it will eventually arrive, the proof is, the different orders referenced on the sites are marked as delivered little by little.

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 08/07 à 07:38
0

Is the demand too high for batteries or for the Renault 5 itself? What is strange is that it still seems that some orders arrive very quickly unlike others.

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 08/07 à 10:56
0

Hello Ivri,
The request concerns the R5 itself. On the other hand, yes, it's strange that there are so many disparities in production times between different orders.

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 09/07 à 12:10
1

Hello R3no. Yes, very strange. I would be curious to take a look at the site to understand a little about the different delays.

gui2007 (⏳ 3 mois) le 09/07 à 15:16

looking at the table of the last 10 vehicles delivered at the bottom of the page, we see that a person placed an order for an iconic 52kw on March 23 and received it on May 20! I ordered mine 5 days after him (March 28) and if I receive it before the end of August I will be lucky....incomprehensible!

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 09/07 à 15:30

Hello gui2007 and Ivri,
If you are talking about Chouchou's R5, it seems to me that he was not able to benefit from the improved EEC surcharge for European batteries. Its R5 must therefore be equipped with a Chinese battery.

Original Renault 5 Battery

Hello,
While waiting for the delivery of my Renault 5, I have a question: how do I know the origin of the battery? It seems that the transition from Chinese to French cell origin is underway. Anyone have any info on this?
THANKS

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 13/06 à 12:08
2

Hello Ivri,
Since this year's open days (mid-March), the R5 has become eligible for the EEC surcharge for batteries of European origin. Contractually, all cars benefiting from this additional premium must therefore benefit from a French battery produced at AESC, in Douai. It's even indicated on the order form. Except that they were overwhelmed by demand and production could no longer keep up (for French batteries), hence the postponements for orders for March and April. As a result, since the beginning of May, the additional premium has disappeared. So I suppose that for May/June orders, there will be Chinese cells while the production delay is covered.
On the other hand, good question, to know the origin of its battery. Perhaps it is indicated in the technical details of the car on the My Renault application, after delivery. Unless we receive a “certificate” on delivery? Or do you have to go through the OBD socket?

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 13/06 à 12:58

gui2007 (⏳ 3 mois) le 21/06 à 10:46

hello, normally, all orders placed since May 5 for the 52 kWh battery no longer benefit from the additional boost linked to battery production in Europe and therefore they are Chinese batteries.

“Flexibility End” date not reached

Good evening axl_vlln, no, my R5 has still not entered production and unfortunately, as long as the "Flexibility End" date is not reached, I doubt that it will be... For the moment, it is set for 06/15/2026, unless further postponements...

I recently received an email from the dealership telling me that my vehicle had been identified at the factory. The manufacturer plans an arrival no later than the end of July. In terms of application, the deadlines always indicate mid-August. And the “flexibility end” date has not changed. So I think it's on the right track, at least I hope so. 🤞

hello, I just realized that the flexibility end date has changed from 06/15/2026 to 06/22/2026. I believe that it changed since Monday the 22nd because I believe that on Sunday it was still on the 18th. Do you have the mention manufacturingDate which appears in the code of the web page and if so, does the manufacturing date correspond to the one given to you? I don't have this mention yet.

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 24/06 à 19:12

Good evening axl_vlln and qui2007,
Yes, I think we should no longer take the "flexibility" date into account once the car actually enters the manufacturing process. Process which seems to take place 2 weeks after the “flexibility” date. It is therefore very good news that the date no longer moves on your side, because this seems to indicate that your R5 is indeed being manufactured. :D Unlike qui2007 and myself, where our "flexibility" date went from 06/15 to 06/22 (change of date this Wednesday 06/24 for me)... Which does not bode well in terms of compliance with the "new" deadlines indicated...
Regarding the mention "manufacturingDate", it does not appear on my side either, which2007.

Good evening R3no, I will look at the date again tomorrow to be sure. Hoping it looks good in production. For information, my vehicle is equipped with a European battery. I don't know if this is the case for you but it may have an impact on deadlines.

lvri (⏳ 2 mois) le 24/06 à 20:42

For my part, more recent order, the date has not changed either, but it is logically a Chinese battery that I would have (I had no proposal on a possible choice at this level). R3no, do you have more information on the origin of the delay? Euro battery?

Otherwise today, on the application, I was asked to verify my identity to prepare the delivery and activate the connected services. I don't know if you got it too but it may be a sign that manufacturing is in progress.

axl_vlln: Yes, my R5 must also be equipped with a European battery. And based on efache's comment about identity verification, I think your delivery is on track. 👌

Ivri: Your order dates from May, in fact, you will have Chinese cells and it is not improbable, at the rate things are going, that you will be delivered before me. 😅
In terms of the reasons for the delays, what information I received by contacting the dealership several times: delays linked to European batteries (far too many orders compared to AESC's real production capacities) + delays linked to the Iconic Cinq finish (and Roland Garros?) in relation to equipment which is suffering from supply problems... So with my R5, I have all the setbacks... 🙃

axl_vlln, efache: Thank you for this identity verification information, it's always good to know the steps that follow to really estimate where my order is. 👍

R3no (⏳ 4 mois) le 25/06 à 23:05

Good evening everyone,

@axl_vlln: Yes, options and colors should also factor into the build order. I also think that the delivery date of the purchase order must have a significant influence, more than its signature date. In any case, it's great that your R5 is indeed manufactured. More than shipping and you will soon be able to enjoy the car. 👍

@lvri: No idea for the Roland Garros finish. Afterwards, given that there is no difference from an electronic point of view between the RG and Iconic finish and that the differences are at the aesthetic level (door decor, silver roof trim, etc.), I will suggest that if there are supply tensions for the Iconic, there are also some for the RG. Afterwards, there is the heatwave which may also come into play and which will slow down production given the temperatures it must be in the factories (and this is totally understandable).
On the other hand, I completely agree with you, it's great to be able to have a car assembled in France and with elements including the battery manufactured in our territory. This is precisely what made me choose this car. 🙂🇫🇷

My flexibility end date changed to 06/25 (originally 06/10). Sign of delay?

Hello Ivri, I think so because from the fixed flexibility date it takes approximately two weeks before production begins. This is what I noticed for my vehicle.

hello, since yesterday, my flexibility end date went from 06/22 to 06/26. This is the second time that it has changed, but with less difference this time because the first time was from 06/15 to 06/22.

Hello,
I ordered an R5 iconic five vehicle, black, 150hp with 52kWh battery, on April 11, 2026, it has been in production for several weeks and the scheduled delivery date keeps moving back July 9 then August 3 then August 10 then August 17 with a range until August 30. On my order form it says June 4th. There is really a huge delay.

Hello Lolo72, the estimated date on the application is pessimistic. This should not be taken into account until the vehicle is manufactured.

I just looked at the flexibility date, it says June 26

For information, it takes approximately two weeks after the flexibility date for the vehicle to enter production.

Good evening, I had a Flexibility END which was overdue for a week or two, and yesterday, as if by magic, its date was pushed back to 07/27 without me knowing why.

Why choose a Renault 5 ?

🚗 Introduction

The Renault 5 E-Tech marks the exciting rebirth of an iconic model, now fully electric. It brings retro styling with modern technology, combining practicality and affordability in a compact EV that’s perfect for urban driving. The car captures the charm of the classic Renault 5, but with an eco-friendly twist.

📜 Historical Background

The original Renault 5, launched in the 1970s, was known for its affordability, compact size, and edgy design, selling millions of units worldwide. Today, the Renault 5 returns as an all-electric model, tapping into the growing EV market while staying true to its roots. With its playful design and innovative features, it aims to reignite interest in small electric vehicles.

⚙️ Trims and Equipment

The Renault 5 E-Tech is available in three trims: Evolution, Techno, and the top-tier Iconic Five. Standard features across the range include a 7-inch digital driver display and a 10.1-inch central touchscreen with Google-based navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Higher trims offer additional perks like two-tone paint options, premium recycled interior materials, and advanced driver-assistance systems for a more refined experience.

🔋 Engine Options

The Renault 5 E-Tech offers two battery options. The entry-level model comes with a 40kWh battery delivering up to 194 miles of range, while the higher-spec version features a 52kWh battery with up to 255 miles on a single charge. Both versions are equipped with front-wheel drive and power outputs ranging from 121bhp to 148bhp, allowing for a smooth yet responsive city drive.

⭐ Strengths

  • Retro-Modern Design: The Renault 5 perfectly blends nostalgic design with contemporary touches, making it a head-turner on the road.
  • Eco-Friendly and Affordable: With a competitive starting price and impressive range for a small EV, the Renault 5 is positioned as a key player in the budget electric car market.
  • Practicality: Despite its compact size, the car offers good interior space, seating five passengers comfortably and providing a 326-litre boot for everyday practicality.
  • Technology: The Google-powered infotainment system is intuitive and packed with useful features, including smart route planning and real-time charging station updates.

🎯 Conclusion

The Renault 5 E-Tech is a fun, practical, and stylish way to embrace the electric future. It has the charm of its predecessor with all the benefits of modern electric mobility. Perfect for city dwellers or those looking to go green without breaking the bank. Plus, with that cool retro look, you'll feel like you're driving straight out of a 70s TV show—just with fewer emissions! 😉
