Indeed, for the extra premium, the R5 was indeed one of the eligible cars from the open days last March. However, at the beginning of May, this surcharge disappeared from the Renault site. The reasons for this change are quite unclear. Is this a production delay at the AESC factory in Douai for the manufacture of European batteries?
In any case, I hope for your sake that you will be able to negotiate this. Do not hesitate to share your feedback upon receipt, I think that many people (like me) would be interested in knowing the dealers' position following this change when an order is in progress.

Initial delivery period of 4 months
R3no had opted for the Renault 5 on 14/03/2026. When purchasing, he was initially given a delivery date of 30/06/2026, equating to a four months delivery period.
A delivery delayed by 2 months
In R3no's case, his Renault 5 was delivered with a slight two months delay, on 07/09/2026. Although rare, this delay remained within a reasonable timeframe. Renault still managed well.
