Expected delivery period of 8 months
When Paddy ordered his Honda Civic on 15/11/2022, he was filled with excitement and anticipation 😉 The initially announced delivery date of 03/07/2023, a standard eight months delivery period, seemed reasonable for such a sought-after model.
A delivery delayed by 8 months
For Paddy, the delivery of his Honda Civic was postponed by more than nine months. Such delays, though quite unusual, can be attributed to various factors beyond the manufacturer's direct control (supply chain issues with components, global logistical challenges...).
In fact, Paddy waited 16 months
Paddy ordered their Honda Civic in France 
on 15/11/2022. At the time of their order, the initially announced delivery date was 03/07/2023, which was an initial delivery time of 8 months. In the end, Paddy took possession of the vehicle on 21/03/2024, which resulted in a waiting time of 16 months.
